A Word About Archery for Kids, Especially Little Kids

A good archery experience has at least two elements that some little kids find difficult.  There is the physical element where the bow has to be pulled back many times, and this can be quite physically demanding.  Then there is the mental bit where there is a demand for the learner to be aware of their body and to understand what has to be done with their body and to be able to do it consistently.  Generally, we find that age 11 is the earliest at which children can deal with these two parts of learning archery. For this reason we strongly recommend against booking children under the age of 11 into this course.  Mount Petrie Bowmen reserves the right to refuse coaching to anyone who is not of the required age or physical ability.

PLEASE NOTE:  Parents/guardians of children under the age of 18 years are required to stay for the duration of the course, as they remain primarily responsible for the behaviour and welfare of their children.
